We039;ve found our new favourite vegan burger patty 🍔 it039;s the plant-based quarter pounder from @meatlessfarm 💚 We039;ve done a review of their range of plant-based meat alternative on the blog, so make sure to check that out for our thoughts on their other products! ✨ You039;ll find the link in our bio 👀 We decided to make up a classic American style cheeseburger with all the toppings. We used vegan brioche buns topped with vegan mayo, the burger with melted vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mustard, and a gherkin 🤤

This is easily one of our favourite breakfasts! Toasted cinnamon bagel with peanut butter, banana, cinnamon, maple syrup and toasted almonds 🤤 It039;s based on simple peanut butter and banana on toast, we039;ve just fancied it up a little bit ✨ but oh my, it takes it to the next level of deliciousness! Next time you039;re craving some tasty toast for breakfast, why not put in a little effort and treat yourself 😍
This week we shared the recipe for this delicious vegan creamy sausage pasta. Go and check out the link in our bio to see the full post and recipe for this super easy weeknight meal ✨ We’ve added in some zingy lemon, dried herbs, fresh basil, chilli flakes for a kick and some spinach as well for those added greens we all need! If you like some heat, add in extra chilli flakes. We’ve toned it down in this recipe, so it’s just a hint of spice, but there’s definitely room for more! 🌶️ You could serve this pasta dish with a lovely fresh side salad or some vegan garlic bread if you’re extra hungry!
We recently posted a recipe to the blog for this delicious side dish: Simple Lemony Roasted Asparagus 🍋 This easy to make side is the ideal thing to serve up at a bbq or to have with a main dish 🍽 Give them a try and let us know what you thought! The lovely people over at @squeakybeanveg have announced an amaaaazing opportunity to be part of the first ever vegan foodie content creator house! 🙌 And we would LOVE to be involved ✨ This is our application. #squeakyhousemate #thesqueakyhouse #squeakybean There’s a few questions we’ve got to answer: 1. Could we go plant based for 21 days? 🌱 YES! We’ve both been vegan for 5 and a half years and veggie for a few years before that. There’s nothing we love more than sharing our passion and knowledge of veganism and plant based food with others! Just ask our pals…we’re always banging on about some new vegan product or recipe. 💚 2. Why would we make great housemates? 🏡 We’re gunna to have to toot our own horns here a bit, so here goes! We think we’re both pretty fun, chill and easy to get along with, and we love meeting new people! We’re going to be up for all the fun and games. We’re also super hard working and really care about making meaningful content that people will enjoy and find useful! Oh, and Charlie has the BEST playlists 🎵 3. What do we love about collaboration? 🤝 Everything!! Everyday we’re working with each other, and we really do create better content by sharing our skills. When we all share our ideas and talents, magical things can happen. And it’s also just way more fun! 🎉 It sounds like an actual dream to spend 21 days making content with other fab like-minded people! Thank you so much to @squeakybeanveg for this opportunity and your consideration 💕 Freya & Charlie x P.s we’re gunna be a bit cheeky and ask a favour from you all! Over the last few weeks we039;ve been trying out a few recipes from the @deliciouslyella app. One of our favourite recipes we039;ve tried is this Vegan Roasted Cauliflower Salad with chickpeas, pomegranate seeds and a tahini drizzle! 😋 Her app has so many amazing healthy plant based recipes on it, but it039;s also much more than that. It039;s an app based around a holistic approach to wellness 💚 We039;ve been really enjoying following guided breathing sessions and yoga videos. The app even has a way of tracking how much water you039;re consuming. We don039;t often post about other people039;s content like this, but we thought that it was such a great tool for those into health and wellness like us, so had to share it. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead! ✨
I love a lazy Sunday morning, and what could be better than a breakfast that essentially cooks itself? 💚 It039;s so easy to make these salted caramel baked oats, it039;s just a case of mixing and blending some bits together and popping them in the oven. Simple as that! You can find the recipe on our blog, or shared down below! 👇 Hope you have a lovely week, see you on Tuesday with another blog post! 👀 -RECIPE- Ingredients •75 g chopped dates •100 g oats •2 tbsp cocoa powder •100 ml oat milk •100 ml water •1/2 tsp salt •2 tbsp almond milk •2 tbsp peanut butter toppings: •chopped dates •cacao nibs •frozen berries Method 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. 2. Place the chopped dates in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Cover with a plate and leave for 10 minutes. 3. In a separate bowl, mix the oats and cocoa powder. When that’s combined, add in the oat milk and water and mix them together. Put the bowl to one side. 4. Drain the water from the dates, then place them in a blender. Add in the salt and almond milk and blend on high until smooth caramel sauce has formed. 5. Get your bowl of oats, then add half the date caramel mixture, leaving half back to top your baked oats with. Stir to combine. Divide the oat mixture into oven proof bowls. Then, add a tablespoon of peanut butter into the middle of each bowl of oats. Push it down so that it sits in the mixture and is level with the oats. 6. Place the bowls into the oven and cook for 25 minutes. Remove them from the oven and top with a spoonful of the caramel mixture, chopped dates, cacao nibs and berries.
