It’s funny how life works! People are brought into your life for a reason and/or a season. Some people teach you, you teach some, and sometimes you are the catalyst to get them to where they want to be. I’ve had the amazing privilege of work with this couple for the past month and it truly has been a blessing. They push each other, cheer each other on, and make fun of each other all while making themselves a priority. They are stronger, quicker, and killing their workouts each and every time. Let me know if you would like for me to join you on your fitness journey.

Here’s the truth. During the month of April I was on it. It was my birthday month, I was heading to Miami to celebrate, and momma was looking snatched. I had a great time! Ate all the things, drank all the drinks, and I did some kind of exercise 4 out of the 5 days I was there. Then I came home. I started training clients, teaching classes @elev8fitnessva, got super busy and slacked. And when I say I slacked @l.v_fitness had to give me some tough love. I missed workouts, I wasn’t eating garbage, I was burning the candle at both ends and it wasn’t good. Frankly I felt like shit! So what did i do, I recommitted. I remembered who the fuck I am and made myself my number 1 priority. Took a step back and listened to my body. What did I need? I needed rest so I took 9 full days off from working out, unplugged, spent time with myself, learned some big things about me, and promised myself to be there for myself. The picture on the right was last night, no exercise for the past 9 days, just rest, lots of water, and dialed in nutrition. Swipe left to see where I started. We aren’t going to get it right all the time, we fall off the wagon, we slack, we get busy, but the main thing is to remember where you started and why you started. I’ll get back to the picture on the left in no time, until then I’ll be putting in work. It’s all about you babe so love yourself, love all of you!
These pictures are truly not giving the sunrise this morning any justice but God was at it again and it got me to thinking… each and every day we are given a chance to show up as our best self. To do better, be better, be kinder, be happy, be anything you want to be. And here is the key part, are you ready? You get the chance, you get to choose, it’s all on you!! No one else but you! It takes 1 choice to turn things around. You aren’t always going to get it right but if you show up, be your best self, and try your best you’ve got it! I’ve learned so much about myself recently and I’m loving who I am. I’m truly loving embracing each part of me. The parts I thought were so ugly, the parts I was ashamed of, the parts that scared me about myself. I’ve learned that I need to embrace all of me because that is the only way I am going to be my true best self.

Life is full of chaos, full of the unknown, full of crazy, but it is also beautiful, rich with love, spontaneity, and sooo worth living to the fullest! Sometimes we forget to stop and dance through it and it’s especially amazing when you get to do it with amazing humans by your side. People that hold you accountable, give you the tough love, love you for you, cheer for you, motivate you, make you want better for yourself, and celebrate 🎉 the wins no matter how small they are. Today take a moment and be grateful for your humans and do better today! I’m grateful for an amazing group of humans that are dancing with me always. You guys know who you are! Sorry, hell nah I ain’t sorry! I’m a lot and guess what I don’t care! I’m going to show up as the very best me I can be each and everyday! I’m loud, I’m obnoxiously positive, I believe that there is good in everyone, I’m all in or nothing at all, I have major #bde, and my energy enters the room before I do. I’m going to continue to be that way! Yes, I smile a lot, yes I’m going to say hello when I pass someone, and yes I am going to complement a complete stranger because that is who I am! #imgoingtobeme
