House On The Rock Pastor Dies Of Covid-19 Complications House on The Rock Founder, Paul Adefarasin, has announced the passing of one of the church pastors, Yinka Akinbami. He reportedly died of coronavirus complications. In a statement on Saturday, the cleric said the deceased was someone deeply dear to him and the HOTR family. Adefarasin noted that the death was painful because if there truly were good men, Akinbami was certainly one. The senior presbyters had been with the church for over 25 years. He served in the Family Life Directorate, and coached men and women as they embarked upon building families. “As a dear egbon to me, even though you were older, we were close friends and I thank you for allowing me to be your pastor and spiritual father. “The thought that I will return to church and not see you again on this side of the divide, is unbelievable. I have not been able to process this loss, however, I am sure of how much we will all miss you”, Adefarasin wrote. He called solicited intercession Akinbami’s wife of over 30 years, Pastor Tolu; his children, his children-inlaw, and grandchildren. The church head prayed that God’s peace and strength envelopes them in the difficult moment. Adefarasin reminded everyone of the deadly nature of COVID-19 and its mutant strains. The religious leader appealed to citizens to do their part by following all recommended precautions.

The Federal Road Safety Corps has made the provision of the National Identification Number compulsory for all categories of vehicle registration. . FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, made this known in a statement on Saturday. . Boboye said effective from the second quarter of 2021, applicants for vehicle registration would be required to provide their NIN before their vehicles would be registered, adding that the move was is in total compliance with presidential directives. . Oyeyemi said, “Beginning from the second quarter of this year (2021), if you want to register your vehicle, it is going to be compulsory for you to provide your NIN. This is part of the security checks. So, once you provide your NIN, it makes the matter easier and helps the government in national planning, critical decision making and also enhance adequate Intelligence gathering for security of lives and properties.” . The FRSC had mandated all applicants of the National Driver’s Licence in the country to present their National Identification Number before they could be captured for any class of the licenses produced by the FRSC. . The PUNCH had also reported that the Federal Government through the Nigerian Communication Commission ordered telecommunications companies to deactivate telephone lines of subscribers who failed to link their phones to their National Identity Number. . The government also said telcos subscribers with NIN have January 19 as deadline to link their NIN with their SIM cards while subscribers without NIN have until February 9 to do so.

Ekiti state governor and the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, Kayode Fayemi, has said that state governors will be taking the COVID19 vaccines on live television to demonstrate to their residents that the vaccine works. Governor Fayemi disclosed this to state house correspondents after a closed-door meeting with President Buhari where security, the economy, and vaccine management were discussed. When asked if governors will also take the vaccine on live television, Governor Fayemi said “Absolutely. We too will like to demonstrate to our citizens that we believe that vaccines would work. Don’t forget, we have a lot of experience on this. Governors Forum managed the polio vaccines administration in the country and we have garnered a lot of experience'' He also noted that the president has agreed to convey to the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, the need to use influencers such as religious leaders, entertainers, and athletes to engender the confidence of citizens at the state and local level.

The scandal blew open when a group of people, who identified themselves as friends of the deceased alleged that Moyo informed her late husband that their two kids belonged to her boss, Nuru. They also claimed that the trauma led to the death of Tunde. But In a statement titled, “Tunde is the Father of My Kids” and made available to THISDAY through her childhood friend, Moyo explained that she had decided to remain silent in the face of the heavy accusation of infidelity and alleged paternity scandal in order to preserve the memories of her late husband, who died on December 16, 2020. “I have refrained from responding to this matter for various reasons, one of which is to preserve the memories of Tunde who departed to be with his maker on December 16, 2020. Memories, not only to me, but to his children, who are still young, and to everybody who had a relationship with him.” According to her, “Just like any marriage, Tunde and I had a lot of differences in our marriage, some of which even led to police intervention. But I remain committed to keeping only positive memories of him. “No one can ever understand what transpired between us or what each of us experienced in the marriage; like they say, it is he who wears the shoes that knows where it pinches. In all of it, I never for once wished him bad. His untimely and sudden death is still a shock to me as it is to many others,” Moyo stated.
