Callie & Kenzie - The Mixing Bowl

“Our business is called The Mixing Bowl (@Mixingbowl_2021) and we are selling edible cookie dough. Every week we introduce a new flavor so that they are constantly changing. We are both certified to handle and serve food, and the dough is safe to eat because there is no egg and the flour has been heat treated.”

Asya - A.I.M. (Achievement. Independence. Mentorship.)

“Kids begin living on their own as early as the age of 18, and we have to cook, do laundry, and provide for ourselves from that day on until the day we die. Yet, we are never taught how to budget our money, cook, or change a tire in high school.

I have created a free after school program for high school students that focuses on home economics and life skills, and teaches autonomy and personal responsibility. The program is accessible to any freshman through senior in high school, particularly those of lower-income families. I hope to equip them with the needed tools to tackle adulthood head on and ultimately succeed in life.”
