Ok, so I know I don’t look or seem super happy but inside I was. I was battling bad back and leg spasms all morning but I toughed my way thru it to try this thing out. • The Standing Wheelchair. Compact enough to get around a house or an event. Wheeling from area to area with the wonderful option of standing. • Health-wise, perfect. The blood can circulate throughout my body like it’s supposed to. Decreases spastic activity and will even my blood pressure back out. • Functionality, awesome. I can finally feel like part of the crowd again. It’s heavy, so if I had to transport it (put in car) that’ll be tough at first. I can go from sitting, to mid range, to fully standing straight up. • Take aways. The weight. Honestly though, I only had this in my possession for a couple of hours. It was a demo that a rep from the company brought. If I had more time I’m sure I would run in to other “inconveniences” because that’s life. I will be hosting a fundraiser (plate sale/bake sale/other) for this in the coming months and I’ll have it on display for a while so I can show it off to those interested. It’s pricey but worth it. I’m not begging for your money though. Just asking for you to share my story and we will let the chips fall where they may. If you need an update of my story then I have no problem filling anyone in. I know it looks like I’m struggling lol but again, high volume of pain in my back, legs and hip area. It was tough at first learning how to use it but it was cool standing up without having to rely on upper body strength. #StandingWheelChair #StandingTall #SCI #SpinalCordInjury

I remember us talking about the upcoming tour, excitement from the new album, my frustrations with music and talking me out of quitting. I was in a dark place but you were trying to guide me thru. We had to rush because I caught you at a busy time as you were getting ready for @colbertlateshow. I was happy for you, you seemed to be in a good place from what I could tell over the phone. #Swimming became an instant classic for me and as the 1st year went by it’s all we had so the songs grew on me even more.
