Nowadays, the term “spice” is inclusive of anything that adds flavor and/or color to food, but today, Eating Berkeley will be taking a look at 10 of the most common nonherb spices found in the kitchen. Shahi Sabudana Khichdi Navratri special @masaalafood @ciba_spices #navratraspecial @candor.techspace #secretgoodhealthrecipe #secretgoodhealthrecipecontest #healthmatters @ekamatradesign @safalstores #navratrikenavratan @sunflame.india #fastingfood Ingredients 1 cup sabudana soak & drain 2 medium sized potatoes ½ cup roasted peanuts 8 to 10 curry leaves - optional 1 teaspoon grated ginger - optional 1 green chili - chopped 1 teaspoon cumin 3 tablespoon peanut 2 tbsp oil or ghee salt (sendha namak) as required 1 pinch black papper Steps Soak the sago pearls in 1 cup water or less for 4 hours and then drain. Keep aside. Make a paste of the mint leaves, ginger and green chillies in a blender. In a pan add 1tbsp ghee (ghee is preferred during Vrat) then add cumin seed when seeds begin to crackle add curry leaves and peanuts. Once the peanuts are done add the finely chopped onions and potatoes. Sauté till they are cooked then add salt. Now add the mint-ginger-green chilli paste, black papper and stir for fry 2mins. Add the drained soaked sago and mix well. Cover with the lid and cook for 5 minutes until the sago is translucent. Ingredients 1) 6 cup Milk (full cream) . 2) 5 Mangoes . 3) 1/3 cup Milkmaid - . 4) 1 handful Almonds . 5) some mixed dry fruits chopped . . . . Steps 👉 We need to remove the seed of the mango while keeping the entire shape of the mango intact. Gently squeeze the mango & do not peel the mango.  Remove the top of the mango by slicing the head/cap of the mango. Retain this cap. Now using a kitchen knife loosened the pulp around the mango seed. Firmly hold the seed and rotate it to loosen it further. Now pull it out. Place the mango with skin on in a small cup so it stands upright. . 👉Remove any pulp from the seed and add it to the mango mixture. . 👉Heat milk and reduce it till becomes 1/3rd. Add milkmaid & stir. . 👉Add the mango pulp to the reduced milk . 👉 Stir the mixture occasionally . 👉 Fill the cavity of the mango shell with the kulfi mixture. Put the mango cap back and freeze it for 8-9 hrs. .Once frozen, remove and peel the mango and then slice and serve. Garnish with chopped dry fruits.

As idlis are healthy and full of nutrition, these Idli Chaat Calories are low. @masaalafood #contestalert @thillaismasala @amk_krishna_foods Ingredients 9 to 10 idlis 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 small tomato, finely chopped 1 or 2 tablespoon curd  1 or 2 tablespoon mint-coriander chutney or as required 1 or 2 tablespoon sweet chaat chutney or as required 1 tablespoon boondi (optional) a generous pinch of red chili powder chaat masala as required roasted cumin powder as required fine sev for garnishing  black salt or rock salt as required 2 to 3 teaspoon oil for frying the idlis .a few chopped coriander leaves for garnish I👉👉Steps Cut the idli into bite sized pieces. Heat oil in a frying pan. Pan fry the idli on medium heat, till they are golden brown & crisp. If you have used too much oil for frying then drain the idlis on paper napkins. Place the fried idlis on a plate. Add finely chopped onions on top and if you want then you can also add very finely chopped tomatoes too. If you want to use curd then spread a layer of curd on top of idli. Put mint-coriander chutney and sweet chutney on top of it. Sprinkle some sev, salt, roasted cumin powder and chaat masala on top. Rose Chocolate mousse @masaalafood @trustfoods.in @thebakeamore #trustedmoments #contestalert #brownsugar #healthy Recipe For rose moulds: 2 cups compound dark chocolate grated For mousse: 2 cups non dairy whipped cream 2 tbsp Nutella 1 tbsp coco powder .2 tbsp brown sugar For Chocolate cake: 9 canned cherries Steps For the rose chocolate moulds Melt chocolate in a double boiler or else microwave it for 1 min Mix it well and pour in a rose shaped mould spreading it all over evenly. Drain the excess chocolate. Freeze it in a freezer for 15min to set completely. Meanwhile let’s prepare the mousse. In a medium bowl using a blender, beat whipping cream to stiff peaks. Add about 2 tablespoons of Nutella in it and continue to beat. Further add the brown sugar, coco powder and beat well. Refrigerate immediately. Carefully unwrap chocolate cups from mould. Place mousse into a piping bag fitted with an open star tip and pipe into cups. Put some chopped canned cherries over the mousse and then the crumbed chocolate cake and line it over the cherries and mousse. Refrigerate it until set and ready to serve. Now once the rose moulds are set line them on a serving platter upside down to show the rose mould up along with the mousse cup and garnish with coco powder and chocolate sauce.
