Stability Ball 4. Single leg lifts Lift pelvis into bridge position, leaving arms on the floor. Exhale a raise one leg at a time. Slow this movement down to gain control. Want to make it harder? Cross you arms over your chest.
Stability ball 2. Oblique Twists Keep shoulders and your arms on the ground for this one. Inhale as you allow the legs to drop to one side and exhale as you draw the knees back to centre.
Stability Ball 1. Bridge with arm reaches. To make this harder add in some hand weights, make sure not to drop pelvis ans slow movement down to increase intensity. Let me know how you get onššŖ
Stability Ball week Why not choose next week to challenge yourself with this stability ball program. A new exercise each day for you to try. The whole program will be released at the end of the week. Working with a stability ball, provides a new element to challenge your body. All the exercise are bodyweight exercises. Not only are they working the target muscles in each exercise but they are also working a whole range of muscles to help stabilise your body while trying to do the action. Increased tone, improved core and more calorie burn! What's not to love?
Post Isolation Walk! I didn't realised how much I would miss my dog walks while spending my 14 days in self isolation as a result of one of my boys testing positive for Covid. It is kind of inevitable, but Thankfully his symptoms were very mild. The strain of isolation was a bit tougher to manage. Stability Ball 3. Ball roll outs Start with ball close, allow whole body to slowly tip forward, push arms into the ball as your draw back. Getting abs, core and shoulder workout
Isometric hold Today we worked on Stability and strength in single leg standing. Using an isometric hold to work all the muscles in and around the pelvis. This is not one of the easiest exercises to do, but the little clips will break it down for you to practice each individual section on its own. Each one of these has value in itself and can either be done on their own or combining them to make the exercise harder. Breastfeeding and exercise - the 4 most common questions 1. 1. Will it change the taste of my milk? No, in order for it to change the taste of your milk, you would have to be at a level of exercise which you are working so hard you are working at an anaerobic capacity and producing a large amount of lactic acid ā simply put you just donāt have the time or fitness level to achieve this. 1. 2. Will exercising reduce my milk production? No, so long as you stay hydrate, the raise in positive endorphins released as a result of exercise will actually help improve your milk supply. 1. 3. Do I need a Sports Bra to exercise? Yes, your breast tissue has increased as your body has prepared to meet the needs of your baby. This increases the weight of them. Relaxin continues to stay in the body while we breastfeed, effecting ligaments and tendons which help support the breast. Wearing a good support bra will help prevent over stretching of these ligaments and tendons. 1. 4. What things do I need to consider when buying a sports bra to use if Breastfeeding? * a. The fit: please make sure you get measured, donāt just go by your breastfeeding bra. A poor fitting sports bra can and may cause blocked milk ducts ā which can lead to mastitis. * b. Can I gain access to it to feed baby before, during or after if need be? * c. Can I adjust it to accommodate changes in breast size between feeds? * d.
