Have any points and miles creators been nominated before? The Plutus Awards are like the Oscars of personal finance. There039;s not a specific category for award travel or credit cards, and I would love to help more creators in our space get "discovered" through the podcast and to bring award travel to more communities who never realized traveling like many of us do is a possibility. But... we need your help. I would love your support by nominating the Geobreeze Travel Podcast for the following categories 🔘Best content series 🔘Best family or couples personal finance 🔘Personal Finance Community Builder Award 🔘Best new personal finance podcast 🔘Personal finance podcast of the year To vote, please click the link in my bio and tap the first button! How to earn 30k @hyatt points 30K Hyatt points is enough to get a free night at some of the top Hyatt hotels in the world, such as the @parkhyattny where rooms can start at $749+. Alternatively, Hyatt properties start at just 5000 points, so you can get 6 nights in selected Hyatt Place or Hyatt House hotels for the same number of points. Here are some ways you can earn those points 1. Sign up for a new credit card Depending on what card you get, you can earn 30k points by meeting a minimum spend of $3000 or spend a fraction of that if you are going for a larger intro bonus with a transfer partner. 2. Buy points I wouldn039;t recommend you do this unless you already have a redemption in mind and you know the redemption value will outweigh the purchase value of points. For example, at the Park Hyatt NY, a room would cost $869 (standard room + taxes and fees) or 30k points. You can buy 30K Hyatt points for $720, and sometimes they have sales on points too! 3. Stay at Hyatt hotels Registering for a Hyatt membership number is free and you039;ll earn 5x for paid stays. You039;ll also get bonus points on these rates depending on your status (10 - 30%) and can earn Hyatt points or transferable points through different credit cards. Do you prefer to use your points on luxury or budget hotels? Comment below! P.S. If you are interested in information for specific cards that earn Hyatt or transferable points, DM me.
Save this post. Here are the rules: The Excursionist Perk is a free one-way award within strategic multi-city United itineraries. Book a itinerary with 3+ one-way awards, and you can get one (and only one) leg for free if (assuming you039;re in North America) 1. your free leg isn039;t in North America 2. The first flight departs from North America 3. The last flight ends in North America Let039;s say you039;re flying from PHX to Madrid to Paris to PHX all on the same itinerary and all on United points. The Madrid to Paris leg is free! Now let039;s say you found a cheap cash fare from Phoenix to Paris and Bulgaria to Phoenix, but no way to get from Paris to Bulgaria... You can book an itinerary like the one below and get from Paris to Bulgaria for free! Remember, it has to all be booked on the same itinerary, but the segments don039;t have to be continuous: ⭐PHX-LAX in August (departs in North America): 5000 United miles. Make your own way back to PHX. You have to take this flight or you forfeit the rest of the itinerary. ⭐CDG-SOF in September (make your own way from PHX to Paris and from SOF to PHX): 0 United Miles ⭐PHX-LAX in October (last flight ends in North America): 5000 United Miles. You technically don039;t need to take this flight, but if you want it, it039;s included. And that039;s one example of how you can fly across Europe and get 2 one-way domestic flights for 10K points. This is a pretty advanced redemption technique and involves a lot of planning and structuring for your itinerary, but it can save you a ton of money if you do it correctly. Questions? Let me know in the comments!
How to fly 4 people to Hawaii for 100k points This is for all the west coast people! You can search for award space operated by Alaska Airlines at AA.com. To book an Alaska flight using Singapore Krisflyer, you039;ll need to book over the phone rather than through the portal. Singapore doesn039;t hold award tickets and points transfers to Singapore aren039;t instantaneous, so it039;s best to only do this if you have flexible travel dates. Curious how to earn 100k points that transfer to Singapore039;s program? Here039;s how to RSVP: 1. Use the @cardpointers app to figure out which of your credit cards earns the most points at restaurants. Use promo code "Geobreeze" if you039;re new to the app. 2. Link up that card to a dining portal (Southwest, JetBlue, United, Hilton...) most airline and hotel programs have a dining portal where you can earn extra points by linking up a card. Google "[airline or hotel program you like] dining program". 3. Use the link in my bio to sign up for the @seatedapp. Add in the promo code "JULIA1480" for an extra $5 on top of the ~25% back through the app! 4. Make your own reservation for 4 pm at JJ Kinahan039;s on July 17. You039;ll earn cash back through Seated once you upload your receipt. I039;ll show you how at the event. 5. Listen to Episode 7 of the Geobreeze Travel Podcast where @pennywisetraveler stacked even more promos (she bought a gift card through the @fluzapp for @ubereats for pickup/ takeout and some other stacks too). ⭐Send me a screenshot once you039;ve made a reservation through Seated. If you don039;t do this step, I can039;t guarantee space for you at the group table. Drop an emoji in the comments if you039;ll be there or would like to be invited to one of these in the future!
Nearly everyone I know who earns LOTS of points and miles has done this Get some business credit cards! Oftentimes, these cards have higher introductory bonuses, special earnings categories/ redemption perks, and sometimes even have no annual fees! Also, with only a couple of exceptions, they don039;t count against your 5/24 count! People also often assume they can039;t qualify for these because they don039;t have multi-million dollar businesses, but you can get these cards as a start-up or side hustler. You can also apply as a sole proprietor using your SSN if you don039;t have an EIN. If you have a tutoring business, dog-walking business, Etsy store, Uber driving side gig, etc. you can get one of these cards. In my personal experience, I039;ve found it039;s a lot easier to get them if you can report some revenue, but some people say it039;s not required to get approved. Questions about if your side gig qualifies for business credit cards or looking for recommendations on which cards to open? Send me a DM! Save this tip and be sure to read the caption. A lot of people ask me how to earn a lot of points without having to actually impact their bank account. I don039;t like to teach those techniques to beginners for a variety of reasons, including that if you follow 85% of my directions and don039;t follow the other 15%, you could be out thousands of dollars or even get the police called on you. I don039;t want to deal with that, and I don039;t want you to deal with that. So this is the only technique I really teach (also the only one I do for myself on a regular basis TBH). With Kiva, you lend money to a small business with your credit card (and you get the points for it) and they pay you back a few months later via PayPal. My personal experience -- I039;ve always gotten paid back but often times the payments came back a month or two late. I generally lose about 1-2% in foreign exchange fluctuation, which is an ok fee for me to meet my minimum spends. I039;ve been doing this for a couple of years now and only really use it when I need to meet a minimum spend. No, you don039;t get paid interest for lending. Only lend out what you can afford to float for those few months. You need to be able to pay your credit card in full on your own that same month that you lend out the money. If getting paid back a couple of months late will make or break you, DO. NOT. DO. THIS. Any questions about using Kiva to earn points? Let me know in the comments.

We got a $1243 stay at the Park Hyatt New York for free! The @parkhyattny is one of the most luxurious hotels in New York City (and in the world) with incredible service and rooms currently starting at $795 per night for a standard room. We spent 30k Hyatt points to get a free night. Due to having Globalist status, we received an upgrade to a Superior King Room with City View ($895 value). By booking a Hyatt stay on points, you also get to avoid paying any taxes and fees. If we had booked this room with regular money, the total would have been $978 including taxes and fees for one night. Having Globalist status also means we received free breakfast for two! The breakfast restaurant is still currently closed, so Park Hyatt NY delivers your breakfast via room service. Each breakfast cost $45, saving us $90. And the best part! Justin and I were celebrating our anniversary and Park Hyatt NY sent some complimentary champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries with gold flakes to our room! The bottle of Bollinger Special Cuvee Brut via room service is listed as $150 on their in-room dining menu. Chocolate-covered strawberries aren039;t on the IRD menu, but let039;s say the whole package is valued at $175. Even if you don039;t have Globalist status and aren039;t celebrating a special occasion, an $869 stay (standard room with no upgrade + taxes and fees) at the Park Hyatt NY for 30,000 points yields a value of 2.90 cpp, which is a great redemption value! With all of the amazing add-ons we got, our anniversary stay had a value of 4.14 cpp for this fantastic experience. P.S. I also have about 39847298 photos of the incredible bathroom, which I039;ll be posting soon. Questions about staying at the Park Hyatt NY? Comment below!
