When it comes to understanding how your content performs the first thing you should look at are the posts you already shared.⠀
Your post insights contain three important sections: profile visits, reach and impressions.⠀

PROFILE VISITS is a number that indicates how many people clicked through to your profile from your post.⠀
The higher the number the better, as it indicates your post was interesting and motivated people to explore your page more. It is also a good indicator as to what content is attracting new viewers to learn more about you. ⠀
-⠀
REACH is the number of unique accounts that saw a post, either in the home feed, Discover tab, hashtag or location search, or tagged posts. It is the best indicator of content performance, and a higher reach usually leads to higher engagement metrics.⠀
If you see that one of your posts got a higher reach take a look at the hashtags you used as they might have been the reason for this performance. ⠀

IMPRESSIONS is the amount of times a piece of content has been viewed. Impression numbers will (in most cases) be higher than the reach number, since people can view a post multiple times. If your impression numbers are much higher than your reach numbers, this is a great sign that your content warrants multiple views and has created a lasting impression. ⠀

My work has been pretty busy, but taking some extra time for myself is helping a lot. I have been out playing beach volleyball, kayaking, biking and eating good food as per usual. ⠀

I think food photography is the best type of photography💁⠀

It's an incredible opportunity to learn photography skills, be creative and get a reward right after. I am learning to stop caring about being "that person" when I go out to a restaurant and take pictures of my food.⠀

Honestly, I think that choosing the right scheduling software comes down to two things: 1) cost and 2) size of the team.⠀

My personal experience? Hootsuite was great, especially when I worked with other people and we were managing different social media accounts.⠀
I loved the visuals of Later and being able to "predict" what my feed was going to look like. But for my final choice, it came down to ease of use and cost. That is why I chose Buffer 😄⠀

I talk about this topic all the time and how to effectively use it to grow your business, but I think something else needs to be addressed: our personal relationship with social media. ⠀

Personally, I think social media (more specifically Instagram and Facebook) mostly have a positive impact on me. I use them as a source of inspiration and entertainment, as well as a place to build connections and share my journey as an individual. ⠀
-⠀
But I can't deny, that my relationship with social media (like any relationship in life) is not always sunshine and rainbows. I love this world because it's constantly changing and there's always something new to learn, but being exposed to so many individuals leads me to constantly compare myself. ⠀
-⠀
I have to cut down the time I spend "getting inspired". As lucrative as that is, I don't think it's super sustainable for me. And that is okay. I can find more inspiration on other platforms through other content formats. ⠀
It's extremely important to trust the process and be patient because social media is not black or white. Is often trial and error, hard work and commitment. ⠀

This is all to say that, YES, you should be on these platforms because it does benefit your brand, but I also really value mental health and I am aware that this might not always be the perfect place to be.⠀
But the real world isn't either. Spend your time wisely looking at things that will bring your joy and will make you grow. ⠀
