Materials must be placed at the curb by 7:00 AM that morning to ensure collection. Residents outside city limits who receive once-weekly trash collection on those Fridays will be able to have their trash collected on Wednesday, December 30th. #WeatherfordTx #SoidWasteAndRecycling #Holidays

The Weatherford Police Department is proud to show you a glimpse of an event that occurred on December 12th known as Operation Blue Christmas. Operation Blue Christmas is a chance for the WPD to give back to the community by taking underprivileged kids Christmas shopping for themselves and their families. The participating kids are selected by WISD and the event is fully funded by charitable organizations and local businesses. The event begins at Chick-Fil-A, where the kids and their families are provided breakfast and paired up with their shopping buddy, a WPD Officer or DPS Trooper. After breakfast, the kids are given a ride in a police car to Target, where they shop for their gifts. After shopping, the officers load the kids up on hot chocolate and cookies while volunteers wrap their gifts. During this time, if the kids are really good, they get a surprise visit from a special guest. 🎅After this we send them back home with their parents so they can enjoy their gifts with their families. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in this event for helping us make Christmas special for these kids! #OperationBlueChristmas #WPDProud #WeatherfordTx #BlueGuardians
