Water, Malt, Hops, Yeast. Mash, Sparge, Boil, Ferment, Carbonate. Beer making started in the kitchen thousands of years ago and today, there are over a million homebrewers all over the United States still making small-batch beer in their apartments, kitchens, and garages. Experimentation with these base ingredients in homebrewing led to many of the wonderful beers we drink today! So tonight, raise a glass to the homebrewers. ๐Ÿปโค๏ธ #NationalHomebrewDay

Saison Day is this Wednesday, so we're starting to ponder what we'll celebrate with! ๐Ÿค”

The Saison originated in the Wallonia region of Belgium, brewed on farms during the quiet winter season, and ready for workers to drink once farming resumed. The beauty of these farmhouse ales is they were brewed with whatever grains and ingredients were on hand, so they were always a little different. Saisons and Farmhouse Ales can really capture the locale of the brewery - especially if they also use locally-grown ingredients. They will be effervescent, dry, and a little rustic, but they can be light or dark, hopped, spiced, fruited, or even tart!

Stop in this week and we'll help you find one to try. ๐Ÿบโค๏ธ #SaisonDay #Saison #FarmhouseAle #BeerLove #CraftBeerCellar #CraftBeer

Tomorrow we celebrate National Beer Day - the anniversary of the day the Cullen-Harrison Act went into effect allowing the sale of beer containing less than 3.2% alcohol by volume. The night before was dubbed New Beer's Eve as eager customers lined up to purchase beer when the clock struck midnight. Nine months later, federal prohibition was repealed with the ratification of the Twenty-first Amendment! Head to the link in our bio to browse our selection and find the perfect beer to celebrate with. ๐Ÿพ
